Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter was an American actress, who gained fame for the films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Her movie Piano was awarded an Oscar. She started her career as an actress on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. She is a lover of acting since when she was in the high school. Her debut role in a production in fifth grade was as Helen Keller. As a result of having mumps, she became deaf in one of the sides of her ear. This was not enough to stop her desire to become an actor. When she was a teenager, she was a drama student in college and moved from Pittsburgh to New York City from Pittsburgh to achieve her goals. Hunter came across Beth Henley by chance in a lift. Together they composed Broadway Crimes of the Heart. The play was Hunter's first acting debut. When she moved to Los Angeles, she began looking for roles in films. The role she was offered came as an actress supporting the leading character Swing Shift. She has since appeared in several movies, television shows and films over the course of a 30 year career. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
